Otolith is directly wholesale distribution of seafood that was started within Philadelphia in 2007 by a now-mother of two young children: Bella aged 3, and Andre age 1. The name Otolith serves as a fond reminder of Bossard's intimate knowledge about fish biology and her husband's many connections in the industry of seafood. They are often separated for 5 months each time they strive to achieve sustainable and financial goals that show their determination to their independence no matter where they reside. Bossard along with her two children Andre 10, and Isabella 12 each year return to Southeast Alaska as deckhands to collect wild salmon in the summer. In a small 42 salmon troller using hooks and lines to catch their targeted salmon, they work with Aritan to work for the duration of two months of selling to local processors. They also continue to increase their direct market seafood items sold via Otolith Sustainable Seafood by way by purchasing custom processing capabilities of small processors who create distinctive wild seafood products that reflect their dedication to quality and the environment. Amanda Bossard, Anchor/MMJ of News 12 Brooklyn and News 12 Bronx has been with these stations since November, 2015.
